The openSAP Microlearning platform is moving to the SAP Learning site. Check out the questions and answers related to the migration below. We’ll keep this FAQ page up to date and will add changes and details as needed.


Why will the openSAP Microlearning platform be discontinued?

Following SAP’s strategy of consolidating learning sites to unify learning and simplify the user experience the SAP Learning site will be your destination for learning and development at SAP moving forward. Accordingly, openSAP Microlearning videos will be integrated into learning.sap.com and the openSAP Microlearning platform will be discontinued.

When will the openSAP Microlearning platform be discontinued?

The openSAP Microlearning platform will be discontinued in the first few months of 2025.

Where can I find openSAP Microlearning videos in the future?

By the end of 2024, selected openSAP Microlearning videos will be migrated to the SAP Learning site. We'll migrate content that is still valid and in high demand and which matches the SAP Learning portfolio. The migrated videos will be available for you free of charge as bite-sized SAP Learning videos. The openSAP Microlearning brand will no longer be used for new videos and will disappear in the medium term.

How long will new videos be published on the openSAP Microlearning platform?

New videos are currently published on both the openSAP Microlearning platform and on the SAP Learning site. This means you’ll find new videos on both platforms. At a certain point in time, we may stop publishing new videos on the openSAP Microlearning platform. We will communicate this accordingly.

How long will videos be available on the openSAP Microlearning platform?

All videos will remain available on the openSAP Microlearning platform until the platform is discontinued. However, we will already start to archive some outdated videos as part of the migration.

What happens to links or bookmarks that currently go to the openSAP Microlearning platform?

Once the platform is discontinued, the current links and bookmarks will no longer work. There will be a redirect to the Videos page of the SAP Learning site.

What will happen with my openSAP Microlearning history, watchlist, comments?

Your openSAP Microlearning history, watchlist, and comments will no longer be available once the platform is discontinued. All personal data will be deleted in a GDPR-compliant way.

Where can I sign up to find free SAP learning content now?

Free learning content is available on the SAP Learning site. Explore free videos, courses, learning journeys, and prepare for SAP Certifications. Don't forget to sign up to save your learning progress.
